Aside from us speaking out for the Rockstar Community to fix John Marston, let's keep the fact on what will Rockstar actually do with John Marston in the future.
As of right now, some people (like me) want John Marston to look like how he did in the first game. But the real question is, John has Arthur Morgan's Hair, body, and head shape. But Imagine if Rockstar made an RDR1 Remake. What would they do with his character?
If an RDR1 Remake happened, Some people would expect a major change to John's character, like fixed hair, fixed build body, and some other minor changes to his model.
But for the people who are really into the issue, Can expect something much worse than what average RDR fans would expect.
The remake would start off by giving the feel like your playing the original version of RDR1, but with upgraded graphics. The soundtrack, the scenery etc. Your getting the feel of nostalgia, but then you noticed something different, it's not the graphics, dialogue, nor the lighting. But rather, John Marston's character design itself.
You realize that John Marston doesn't make any resemblance to his original appearence in RDR1. He looks a lot like his appearance in RDR2 Epilogue, where he had white skin, Arthur's hair, head, body, bleached mustache, inaccurate clothes & many more on the list.
This would make Rockstar much of a money lending company (like if it isn't already). Rockstar is known as the king of making video games or something, but it could potentially expose there lack of detailing in many other projects besides Red Dead Redemption 2.
Aside from his lack of appearance, there is much more that Rockstar could add including dialogue that references RDR2, Which would ruin the experience for RDR1 fans, Rockstar would do this due to their successful release of RDR2, most RDR fans are choosing RDR2 because of better storytelling, better characters, better graphics & gameplay and the list goes on. Arthur Morgan seems to be a better fit instead (for fans).
My point about this article is that Rockstar can easily do this (for them) & never go back. They could either recreate his exact look from RDR1 entirely from scratch or port his epilogue model into the game. Some people are highly expecting Epilogue John, but with new dialogue.
In conclusion, The future of John is unpredictable, When the next generation of RDR fans comes in, people will hear the name "John Marston" & picture it as his epilogue model. Whether Rockstar would keep his design like it is now or we could see a better redesign of his appearance. Right now, John Marston would never look the same again.
