Red Dead Redemption 2 is a masterpiece, it's definitely my favorite game of all time. The quality of the writing and the details in Red Dead Redemption 2 is amazing, and the effort Rockstar put into the game is incredible, however, John Marston needs to be fixed.
John Marston is one of the most recognizable faces of videogames. His iconic scars, his classic hat, his classic vest and of course, his iconic long hair. A lot of people probably know that John Marston in the epilogue uses Arthur Morgan's hairstyles instead of John's unique and classic greasy hair. However, that's not the only problem with his model. In this post I will show most things that are wrong and that are easy to be fixed, along with some comparison pictures.
John's face - Once you enter the epilogue you start playing as John Marston, but for some reason, Rockstar changed his face, like the ear placement, the width of his jaw, the width of his neck, his scalp texture and his length 1/2 of the beard that looks weirdly lighter than his npc and rdr1 beard. Here are some comparisons:

*Notice the difference between his ears, neck, scalp texture and width of the jaw.

John's clothes - For some unknown reason, Rockstar Games decided to change the Cowboy outfit. The 1.00 version had normal gloves and pants, while the patched version has giant gloves and - what the community likes to call - "disco" pants.

The patched gloves are so big that the community calls them "trash bag gloves"
The giant disco pants:

*You can also see here how his shoulders are broader in the patched version of the game.
His vest is also wrong, it was supposed to look like the vest in rdr1 that's unbuttoned at the bottom, but instead, Rockstar decided to make the vest look like it's fully buttoned. The unbuttoned version can be found on Red Dead Online and in the game files.

His hair - The hairstyle is one of the most unique characteristics of John Marston, along with his iconic Cowboy outfit. However, Rockstar decided to replace John's iconic hairstyle with Arthur's hairstyle and dye it black, even though John has dark brown hair.

You can see his classic hairstyle in many different artworks:
You can also see in pre-release screenshots that at some point, Epilogue John was supposed to use his original hairstyle, original Cowboy outfit and original model.
Here are some other problems about Epilogue John:
-John uses Arthur's idle animations
-His length 1 and length 2 beard are almost identical
-John has Arthur's voice when puking (yes it's very noticeable)
-John's npc outfits aren't available
-John uses Arthur's walking animations when he is at Beecher's Hope or Pronghorn Ranch
Just here for the those great times... :(
Great Post! Some things I would add is that Rockstar altered his facial textures to have a lighter mustache and seemingly made it lower quality.
Also his entire torso was changed into a skinnier version of Arthur's and his neck got a bit bigger.
His original unbuttoned rancher outfit can be seen in the credits along with his wedding outfit but the player isn't allowed to use them.
His unique holsters(John's holster and weathered holster) look like bins with how big Rockstar have made them
John has a unique saddle that can spawn on random horses. It's the same saddle seen on his dead horse in Enter, Pursued by a memory. It's fully rigged and ready to use but Rockstar…
